51mm Bottomless Portafilter, Naked Espresso Handle with Filter Basket for Coffee Machine

Description

• The portafilter has a bottomless design with no spouts or base plate beneath the basket. This exposes the full surface of the filter basket to view during extraction. When you pull a shot, you can see the flow of coffee, the formation of the crema, and the distribution of the extraction column. The open view allows you to check for channeling, uneven flow, or gaps in the puck before the shot finishes. This helps you adjust grind or tamping for the next attempt.
• The handle body is made from aluminium with a black finish. The basket is made from stainless steel and is removable. The aluminium does not rust and is lighter than brass or steel handles. The handle has a two-ear fitting that locks into the machine group head with a quarter turn. To install, align the ears with the slots in the group head, insert, and twist the handle to the right until it locks. To remove, twist to the left and pull down. No tools needed.
• One portafilter works with several 51mm espresso machines. The basket size matches machines that use a 51mm diameter filter. The ears are positioned for standard group head fittings. The handle fits most home espresso machines with the same basket size, including common brands in that size range. The portafilter can be used across different machines as long as the basket diameter and ear size match. The removable basket allows you to use your preferred basket type.
• The basket is made from stainless steel with precision-cut holes that allow water to pass through evenly. The surface does not absorb oils from coffee, so the basket does not retain flavours between shots. The basket can be cleaned by rinsing under hot water after each use. The portafilter body has a smooth surface that does not trap coffee grounds. The open design means there are no crevices at the base where grounds or oils could accumulate over time.
• The portafilter measures 51mm in diameter at the basket. The handle is about the same length as standard portafilters, fitting under the group head without hitting the drip tray on most machines. The aluminium body reduces the overall weight compared to brass handles. The pack includes the portafilter body and one stainless steel basket. The basket fits snugly and does not rotate or shift during use. The handle is not compatible with pressurised baskets that have a spring-loaded base.
